Emery Winslow Scale Company Announces Promotion of Melody Moccia to Chief Operating Officer

Emery Winslow Scale Company is proud to announce the promotion of Melody Moccia to Chief Operating Officer. In her seven years with EWSC, Melody has played a pivotal role in shaping the company’s operational excellence—leading major projects such as the relocation of production to our Connecticut facility, the successful implementation of a modern ERP system, and the creation of our in-house machine shop. These initiatives have improved quality, reduced lead times, and enhanced cost control—directly benefiting the customers we serve.

With over 20 years in manufacturing leadership, Melody combines deep financial expertise with a passion for continuous improvement. Her experience spans large corporations and small-to-mid-sized businesses, giving her the ability to adopt best practices and implement them effectively in EWSC’s customer-focused environment.

As COO, Melody will focus on driving innovation, streamlining workflows, leveraging technology, and fostering collaboration across departments. Her priorities are clear: ensure operational efficiency, strengthen cross-functional leadership, and maintain EWSC’s customer-first culture. She is committed to using customer feedback to refine our products and services, helping our clients achieve maximum uptime, lower operating costs, and long-term return on investment.

Known for her collaborative leadership style and her ability to balance strategic goals with day-to-day operations, Melody has earned the respect of the team at Emery Winslow and Pennsylvania Scale and  credits much of her success to their dedication and hard work. She also believes in maintaining a healthy work-life balance—spending time with her husband and three children, reading, and exercising. One of her proudest personal achievements is raising three kind, compassionate children.

Inspired by the principles in Dare to Lead by Brené Brown, Built to Last by Jim Collins and Jerry Porras, and Traction by Gino Wickman, Melody approaches each challenge with a mix of bold vision and practical execution.
